This Sesame Aloe Shampoo Bar was created for persons with dry scalp and hair, but it can also be used for persons with normal hair or scalp. This is a recipe I keep stocked for people with extra sensitive dry scalp. It was created with garden-fresh Aloe from my Florida garden. Aloe gel adds an extra touch of extra body compared to my other shampoo bars. Organic Sesame oil was chosen for it's nourishing properties as well, as it is used frequently for dry skin formulations in Traditional Chinese herbal medicine. We recently switched from dark sesame oil to white sesame oil, so the color of the newer batches are slightly lighter compared to 2008-2014 bars. Organic Jojoba and Raw Unrefined Shea Butter are also included to condition the hair and scalp. This soap is balanced to provide a stable lather for shampooing the hair. I also included Lavender and a small amount of Patchouli essential oils. To use the shampoo bars just wet the hair and rub the bar onto a couple of areas on the hair. Then work up the lather with your hands. Shampoo bars are eco-friendly, because no plastic bottles required! This full sized bar approximately 4.5 oz.

Thank you very very much from my healthy looking hair and non- itching scalp. This Shampoo Bar is a Miracle ! I didn't want to write review until I try it few times, so now I can tell you that this bar beets any other 100s shampoos I have tried before. My scalp has never been so happy :) and I love that I have to wash my hair less than before as it doesn't get so oily :) AquarianBath, you've got yourself one more happy customer: I'll be back again for sure :) Thanks again :

"I LOVE the aloe vera shampoo bar. I have been facing itchy and flaky scalp for years, since I still used commercial liquid shampoo. After I switched to shampoo bars, the itchiness hasn't disappeared but it did lessen a bit, and some shampoo bars did actually clear the flakiness away. Since the first time I tried your aloe shampoo bar, the itchiness disappeared! The flakiness disappeared too! I have used it 5 times with very satisfying result. It also gives my hair volume and doesn't dry out my hair. Amazing! I wonder what your secret is for creating such a wonderful shampoo bar :)

As it is a rich bar, it doesn't leave my hair squeaky clean that lasts for days though. I could wash my hair once every two days with some other shampoo bars, but with this bar, if I wash my hair this morning, then I need to wash it again tomorrow afternoon. It is okay though, I don't mind washing my hair more often as long as those itchy and flaky scalp days gone :)"

We regret that we have tried multiple times and failed to come up with a vegan version of this formula that does not irritate the scalp of customers who have seriously sensitive scalp. Therefore, we will continue to offer our original formula as usual. Our vegan neem shampoo bar is a good option for those with sensitive scalp who are looking for a vegan product.

How to wash hair with a shampoo bar:
Washing with a shampoo bar is pretty simple. First you wet your hair thoroughly, the rub the shampoo bar in a few a patches in your hair. Then work up the lather with your hands. Make sure the lather is worked in through all of your hair and down to your scalp in order give your hair a complete cleaning. Then rinse your hair with fresh water making sure to get out all the shampoo. Rinsing your hair with bath tub water that already has soap mixed in with it will not give you a clean rinse. I wash with my shampoo bars every 2 to 3 days, or more often if I have been getting dirty in the garden or have been working out strenuously.

Transitioning to Shampoo Bars:
For some people it takes longer than others to adjust to shampoo bars. This depends on a lot of factors including if there is build up from other products in your hair. Also if the shampoo you have been using strongly strips your natural oils, then your scalp may seem to over produce sebum when you switch to a milder shampoo. Read this blog post if you need help transitioning.

Do not use shampoo bars with salt hair sprays.
