Description

THE ALL-SEEING EYE
16/100

Percy was all too often alone with his own thoughts. He lived far away from the others of his kind, and after a while, became self-sufficient.

In his mind, though, he was always accompanied by a universal narrator. He thought of how he looked, doing the things he did every day. How an outsider might perceive what it was he was doing, or how effective it was, or how he could improve it.

And even though there were still times when Percy was lonely, the thought that his imaginary watcher, his all-seeing-eye, watched over him gave Percy comfort and companionship, bringing light to even his darkest hours.

--
THE ALL-SEEING EYE is part of the 100 Stories project, begun in September 2015, consisting of 100 un-pre-planned, intuitive paintings on 6x6" canvases. They are largely acrylic, occasionally containing other media here and there (watercolor, inks, collage, graphite, etc.), and are on gallery-wrapped canvas with painted sides so they can be hung straight out of the box.

All of the Stories pieces come wrapped in acid-free bags, packaged with a copy of the story on cardstock. They are one of a kind.

All effort has been made to display accurate color; your monitor settings, image compression, and the way the wind's blowing that day can all affect your display, however. It's pretty darn close, though, from here. It'll look great with your couch.

Elli is one of the most interesting, inspirational creative makers I've ever "known". I've never actually met her, but many years ago I was obsessed with her writings and her world views, and I'm so happy to have rediscovered her. I've skimmed through this book, and it does not disappoint -- a blend of common sense, her personal experience, and intriguing, unique ideas -- presented in her quirky, conversational voice -- for undertaking your own creative journaling journey. I can't wait to get started.
