Description

READY TO TELL SOME STORIES?

STORYDOLLS are instantly-available multi-use imagination-sparkers. Print them out on cardstock and turn them into puppets or on regular paper to populate the stories in your journals or other artworks. They've been lovingly created with the express purpose of inspiring stories for you and your children.

In this pack, there are fourteen girls, each with her own personality, ready to use as-is or to be customized by you, and three animal companions.

There are five PDF files included in your purchase:

1. Instructions for turning your dolls into puppets for storytelling.
2. A whole file full of story starters to get your mind racing off in its own direction.
3. A cast of characters with profiles of each StoryDoll's personality and quirks.
4. A printable file with single same-size StoryDolls, for puppetmaking.
5. A printable file with multiple sizes of each StoryDoll, for use in your own artworks.

HOW THEY'RE MADE:
Each StoryDoll was painted by hand with a whole variety of media on rescued book pages. They're then scanned and edited for maximum clarity and fun, and saved at 300 dpi for clear printing. Each StoryDoll's personality comes out in the process, and stories start to present themselves.

Try one of the story sparkers, or let your imagination fly.

TERMS
You can print these out a million times if you want to, for your own personal use. Use them for everything: puppets and journal bits, sure. But also for place markers, mobiles, and really cool book covers. Print them on fabric to make physical dolls, or to embroider onto clothing. The possibilities are really endless.

The only thing I ask is that you don't resell the files themselves, or mass-produce anything to sell with them. Because that's just polite.

UPCOMING:
Worried your child will get bored with these seventeen? Stay tuned to this spot for more StoryDolls expansions soon(ish). There are some themed packs in the works, and lots of new friends for your storytelling adventures!

Elli is one of the most interesting, inspirational creative makers I've ever "known". I've never actually met her, but many years ago I was obsessed with her writings and her world views, and I'm so happy to have rediscovered her. I've skimmed through this book, and it does not disappoint -- a blend of common sense, her personal experience, and intriguing, unique ideas -- presented in her quirky, conversational voice -- for undertaking your own creative journaling journey. I can't wait to get started.
