Love this Alaska sweater skirt! I made this gem by refashioning a sweatshirt into a gorgeous women's skirt. The body of this upcycled skirt is a dusty teal cotton with a beautiful and slightly worn print of Alaska with the quote: "Its grandeur is more valuable than the gold or the fish or the timer, for it will never be exhausted". Love love love! The waistband is dark teal and the hem band is black. This is a comfy skirt that can be easily pulled on over a pair of leggings. Short enough to be sassy but not too short. This item is totally one-of-a-kind, and stylish comfort at its best!

Sizing: SMALL (approx. size 6) This particular skirt has almost no stretch. (Please note that the sizing can vary from skirt to skirt, as all the materials differ in stretch value, and that not all sizing charts are the same, so please check the actual measurements below to ensure a fantastic fit!).

Here are the measurements of the actual skirt laying flat (double for full measurements):

Waistband: 15 inches (sits just below your actual waist)
Hip line: 18.75 inches
Bottom banding 19.25 inches
Top to bottom: 16 inches

This upcycled skirt can be hand washed and laid flat to dry. ♥

Upcycled clothing is the fashion term for clothing made from recycling second-hand threads. It is a great way to minimize the manufacturing of raw materials and at the same time developing stylish one-of-a-kind fashion that will be sure to turn heads. It is an incredibly creative process (not to mention FUN!), as the materials often dictate what the end result will be. By purchasing upcycled clothing you are voting for unique, stylish, and more environmentally friendly fashion. Way to go!

I am an independent designer who has been designing and making textile creations since 2006. More recently I've been focusing on the upcycled revolution. Using recycled materials has opened up a whole new world for me, and given my business more purpose. I love giving new life to old threads! If you have any questions at all, please contact me and I'd be happy to help you. Customer service is my priority!
