Description

These NUGOLD CUFF BRACELET BLANKS measure 1/4" x 6". They are cut from thick 16 gauge nugold (red brass) Please choose a quantity IN SETS OF 3 from the drop down menu. Price per cuff decreases as you buy more! Each bracelet is cut straight raw with straight ends. If you'd prefer rounded ends, please use this listing to add that service: https://www.etsy.com/listing/475555657/rounding-ends-of-cuffs-and-tumbling-add

Nugold is also called red brass. It is a warmer toned base metal than the "regular" yellow brass that most are familiar with. It will work harden which means the more you stamp it, hit it with a mallet or tumble it; the stronger and stiffer it will become.
We suggest using a bracelet bender or bracelet pliers to form the cuff after stamping. If you have neither, try forming it over a rolling pin or drinking glass! To add durability we suggest putting them in a tumbler for added strength. We also suggest using a sanding sponge or file on the ends to slightly round them for a more comfortable fit. You can leave the finish as is, tumble to a shine or sand for a brushed finish. Need a sanding file or sponge? You can get one here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/230468288/sanding-sponge-jewelry-tool-hand?
