I was very intrigued by that technique eight years ago when I first learned about it.

Origamic Architecture (OA) involves the three-dimensional reproduction of architecture, geometric patterns, everyday objects, or other images, on various scales, using cutout and folded paper, usually thin paperboard.

Visually, these creations are comparable to intricate 'pop-ups’; indeed, some works are deliberately engineered to possess 'pop-up'-like properties. However, Origamic Architecture tends to be cut out of a single sheet of paper, whereas most pop-ups involve two or more. To create the three-dimensional image out of the two-dimensional surface requires skill akin to that of an architect. (Please, read more about OA in my profile)

I created an opening above the stairs to allow light in and to complement the colors’ composition.

I created an opening in the back to allow light in and to shine through and enhance the beauty of the intricate cuts.

My creation opens to 90 degrees and can be used as a card or may be displayed in a Shadow Box or just on a shelf.

Whoever will receive them, as a gift or a card will be very impressed and happy. Keep it for yourself and enjoy its’ beauty.

When folded it measures 8.25" L x 5.5" H as well as when open.

I would like to emphasize the Handmade nature of my creations. PLEASE NOTE: All my creations are cut by hand, so no two items are identical. That is the beauty of the unique final product.
