Exoticism (according to the infallible Wikipedia that is) refers to "the charm of the unfamiliar".
When I was 6 years old I wanted to be an archeologist mainly because I was so fascinated by things that were remote in terms of passage of time and distance of space.
The same things still intrigue me.
I made this ring with semiprecious stones in turquoise, chartreuse, burgundy and rich royal blue glass teardrop beads. The body of the ring is built out of thick hand forged brass wire, and the 'stem' and 'leaves' from a recycled vintage flower brooch. Vines of teal wire and rusty orange are mixed in with the antique brass wire structure.
There is something not "western" about this ring.
It is a size 6.
