Each half of the front and back start with an unmitered square. Stitches are picked up along one straight edge of that module, then the same number of stitches are cast on to knit a mitered triangle. Then, stitches are picked up from the other straight edge of the unmitered square and one side of the mitered triangle to make a large triangle. Stitches are picked up from the large triangle and the same number of stitches cast on to make another mitered triangle. On the last section, stitches are picked up from the mitered triangle to make a trapezoid shape. The sleeves start with a cuff and are worked upward.
