Description

Made from gorgeously thick-but-stretchy merino wool interlock with 3% spandex, these harem longies are truly a labor of love. The teal and ppink wool is hand dyed with dyes made in the US by a company that has been making wool dyes since the 1800s.
These awesome harem-inspired pants are wool longies that will grow with your baby! These are designed to fit babies from approximately 1 to 6 months! How does that work? With cleverly designed ankle cuffs and a waistband that can be folded down or extended as baby grows!
The waist band and leg cuffs are made from wool stretch jersey.

What are wool longies? Wool pants that are made to be used as a cloth diaper cover over prefold, flat, or fitted diapers. These pants work as baby's diaper cover and pants in one!

If you'd like these lanolized before shipment, please order this:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/125113987/lanolize-option-lanolin-treatment-for?

To use as a cloth diaper cover: lanolize them 1-3 times per month to keep them water resistant and to help convert urine to soap. You may need to lanolize twice at first as this wool has been washed with detergent during the felting process.

Wool works wonderfully as a diaper cover. The odor does not get trapped in wool, and you don't need to wash it after each wear: simply hang to dry or use again.
If soiled, hand wash with tepid water and natural wool wash. Hang to dry or lay flat. Instructions will be included with your item, as well as available on my blog: http://rebourneclothing.wordpress.com
With the mix up of hand dyed fabrics in these pants, I highly recommend a quick cold wash, minimizing squeezing and soaking for long periods (this may cause the dye to bleed into each other).

Measurements: (on top of largest diaper you'll have underneath)
SMALL: approximately 1 to 6 months

Thigh: 10"
Waist: 14.5-19"

Wash and lanolize separately. HAND DYED?? What does it mean? I dye about 2 yards of un-felted interlock fabric (about 1.2 yards of felted fabric) at a time. It is done on my stove in my kitchen, in a large stainless pot. Each dye bath is done individually, and it involves soaking and then stirring for 60 minutes, and setting the dye with white vinegar. Due to variations in the temperature, my stirring technique, the exact volume of fabric being dyed, the way I submerge the fabric initially into the pot, how I move the fabric around while being dyed, how the vinegar moves through the hot water and touches the fabric to set the dye, there will be natural variations in the color of the fabric. These can occur as lighter or darker spots, lines, dots, etc. Some pieces of fabric will be extremely uniform in color and without variations. Some parts of the fabric may have many variations. This adds to the unique, one-of-a-kind, truly handmade nature of my products. You can know that each cover, regardless of how much fabric I've dyed that color, is special, just like your little one.

Arrived in time to wash and lanolize all of my wool covers before the arrival of my baby! Excellent product. All of my woolies smell great and are perfectly waterproof now. Thanks Marni!
