Inspired by one of mankind’s oldest works of art, the Venus of Willendorf, this little soft sculpture was my way of celebrating knitting in general and the joys of womanhood all at once. Her shoulders are pulled back as to proudly display her considerable assets. The green verion is a smaller version in a sport weight yarn. Everyone needs a knitting goddess now and then.

This a particularly hefty pattern at 6 full pages with only 2 pictures. This time I’ve tried to explain some of my thought process as I’m knitting. Hopefully it makes it easier for the newer knitter to attempt something unique and a little bit of a challenge. Increase and decrease are the only shaping tools used other than stitching to create the definition of the soft sculpture. It’s much easier than it looks, so give it a shot!

I've had so many requests to knit these for friends and family, I'm also going to accept commissions. Drop me a note and we can work out the details.
