Glinda of Oz pump up
by L Frank Baum Illustrated by John R Neill
Hardcover 279 pages

1929 publisher The Reilly & Lee Co. Chicago

Measurements 9 x 7 x 1.5 inches. Weighs 1 pound 12 ounces

Condition Fair.

Illustrated page on front cover is rather good, colors are bright and crisp.
Spine is blemished and much lightened.
Backboard shows a very unsightly watermark at the spine edge.

Remarkably it (the watermark) is noticeable on just a few pages, though sadly, those are the color illustration pages. (as those are on paper which is white, as opposed to the rest of the pages, which are on a paper which is tannish, apparently so similar to the watermark it goes unnoticed?)

There was a fern pressed into page 226/227, this has left a slight impression and discoloration though is is quite minimal overall. Same on page 197 though this one is hardly noticeable that was in the pages.

The gutter is showing on the back. The end pages are illustrated nicely.
The boards are slightly warped. It still opens, closes and stands nicely.

Most of the illustrations in this book are black and white there are several color.

Despite the interior faults, and despite the back cover, this book will still display nicely from the front and is completely legible with tight pages and good spine.

"Glinda Of Oz in which are related be exciting experiences of princess Ozma of Oz and Dorothy in their hazardous journey to the home of the flatheads and to the magic Isle of the Skeezers and how they were rescued from dire peril by the sorcery of Glinda of that Good."
