I've always been inspired by the work of British Designers. The work of Ossie Clark especially because he brought Hollywood Glamour back into the 1970's.............

This dress is made from mixed antique textiles from 1900's,1920's and 1930's with a chantilly lace skirt from the 1980's.
The bodice is a beautiful example of the plunging neckline from the 1930's and Ossie did it so well in the 1970's. The midriff is covered in silver sequins and rose colored glass beads. I accented the upper midriff with a 1920's french ribbon flower applique. The front panel has rhinestones and silver beads in a very Deco pattern, the next layer is a french silver embroidered long panel from the 1900's it's a lovely example of metallic embroidery from that era.
