Description

This lovely vintage Fine Engish Bone China round plate by the Aynsley pottery company (established by John Aynsley in 1775) would make a beautiful start or addition to a display of English bone china or used as a small serving dish for festive occasions. Best as I can tell from the Aynsley backstamp, marks, and design, it is part of a 12-set "orchard fruit pattern" dinner service Each plate featured a fruit pattern by the artist N. Brunt. The fruit pattern is of a harvest of peaches, pears, plums, hazelnuts, and blackberries. The warm color composition consists of yellow, orange, red, violet, green and brown with accents of gold around the rim. This plate isn't signed, but signed dinner plates can go from several hundred dollars to over $1,000.

It dates from the 1950s-1960s and is in perfect condition with no obvious wear, chips, or cracks. Aynsley China has a long history. Founded almost 250 years ago in Staffordshire England, Aynsley's market has historically been within the United Kingdom. Aynsley China is a favored supplier of the British royal family. Aynsley produced pieces to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Victoria 1837-1897. Both Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, Princess of Wales, chose Aynsley china as wedding presents from the British china industry.

A wonderful gift for loved ones and friends or for yourself!
