Description

We handcrafted this "Flowering Lotus" stained glass shade in tranquil tones reminiscent of a Monet watercolor. The exquisite design by Louis Comfort Tiffany is iconic for its flowing shape and its technical difficulty. This table lamp can compliment a variety of interiors, including Traditional, Transitional, Victorian, and Art Nouveau. Or how about as the focal point of a chic white or gray tone-on-tone room?

= medium/tall sized lamp: shade diameter 18"; height with base about 27"
= Tiffany Flowering Lotus design; 1672 hand-cut pieces
= Tiffany Lotus base included; swirl 3-light cluster

About this "FLOWERING LOTUS" shade: We chose opalescent and mottled art glass in soft blue, pink, and dark rose for this shade. Our favorite detail of Tiffany's design is the surprising abundance of spring green stems (68 of them!) cascading down. The blooms on the irregular edge "float" gently upward, giving the lamp a unique and elegant shape.

The lotus theme of the lamp is further enhanced by the water lily leaves adorning the base. This base - a real beauty - is a heavy solid cast brass reproduction of the Tiffany Lotus base, finished in copperplate and natural green-brown patina.

What makes our art glass lamps unique:

* Each shade is a unique work of art handcrafted in the USA by Joe and Jeany Coughran.
* The lamp pictured is the exact lamp you will receive.
* We use only the finest materials. Your Coughran Studio lamp comes with an artistic solid cast brass Tiffany reproduction base by Odyssey that cost us between $470 and $1,150 at wholesale. One of these fine bases (as pictured) is already included in your purchase price. All of our glass is the finest hand-cast art glass available -- Uroboros and Youghiogheny.
* We pride ourselves on our soldering skill: expect smooth, well-rounded solder lines inside and out.
* Each shade is signed with the Coughran studio cache signature bar, and comes with a certificate of authenticity which is customizable for gift-giving.
* List price always includes free shipping!

**We also used similar pastel hues in our smallest shade, the lovely little Tiffany Azalea:
