Description

This is a lot of 12 issues of ゆうびん (Yūbin), meaning "postal" or Japanese for "post". 〒 (郵便マーク Yūbin māku) is the service mark of Japan Post, the postal operator in Japan. It is also used as a Japanese postal code mark. The mark is a stylized katakana syllable te (テ), from the word teishin (逓信 communications). The mark dates from the pre-World War II era, when literacy was less complete, the katakana symbol being more easily recognized than a kanji. You will receive a complete collection of 12 monthly issues from 1952.

It isn't easy to find vintage Japanese ephemera from this time period, especially in the US. Their text is engraved and printed on india paper by letterpress.

All of these magazines are in gently used vintage condition and sold as is. The spines and covers have some wear and markings from being in storage but the pages inside are in lovely condition. As a long time collector and dealer of ephemera, my grading can be trusted!

Not only can this magazine be appreciated by magazine philatelists and lovers of Japanese history, it can also be used for decorative paper crafting, graphic design, card making, collages, scrapbooking, journaling, jewelry making and more!

If you are looking for something in particular please convo me for me details on a custom order.
