The Hertz Pottery "Baconator" cooks bacon perfectly in the microwave! It has holes near the bottom that allow the water and grease to be poured out, reducing splattering. Each Baconator is approximately 5.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide.

Directions:
- Hang bacon strips over the rim and microwave about 3 minutes on 50% power.

- Remove from microwave and pour out water. (The water in bacon cooks out first. In a pan, water is responsible for splattering. When the bacon fat gets hot enough, water droplets turn to steam in tiny explosions under the fat, splattering hot grease. Cooking the water out first reduces splattering with the bacon cooker too.)

- Put back into the microwave for an additional 4 minutes on 50% power.

- I also recommend wrapping a paper towel around the cooker and bacon and tuck it in the top. This method cooks Bacon with practically no splatter in the microwave.

The example bacon in the last picture was cooked a total of 7 minutes at 50% power.

**Like all Hertz Pottery functional ware, the Baconator is microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.**

While we strive to create pieces that are representative of the images above, please understand that each piece of pottery is handmade and will contain small variations in form, size, and color.
