Description

Beautiful serving or decorative bowl made by potter Beth Jennings Leggiere. Ms Leggiere is a craftswoman who mainly deals with yarn and knitted goods but earlier in her career made and taught pottery in Hoboken, NJ. I bought this bowl from the artist when she was working and displaying her work in Hoboken, sometime in the 1990s.

It is a beautiful example of one of her signature designs of the Sunflower. The lines on the top part and that constitute the sunflower are hand-etched into the piece. It has four feet. The colors are a salmon/peach on the top, and pale green and black on the bottom (sunflowers) with some pale yellow and salmon/peach accents. It is 4 1/2" tall, 7 1/2" in diameter at the opening of the bowl, and approximately 24 1/2" around, at the top of the bowl.

The bowl is hand made and glazed, lead free and food safe. It can be put in the dishwasher, but I advise hand washing. It should not be used in the microwave. If you plan on using it to serve hot dishes, before you serve, first fill the bowl with hot tap water to let it pre-warm.

I am selling other wonderful pieces by Ms Leggiere in other offerings.

Please note that I will pack this bowl well for shipping and that may add a little bit to your shipping costs. Zip code also determines costs.

Pick up in New York, MY or Milford, PA is even better.
