Description

Spectacular and RARE! Vintage Navajo bracelet - very substantial/heavy, thick and well made! but not too heavy to wear comfortably :-)
It came from an experienced collector and according to him it set with turquoise from different mines and the artist who made it - Navajo Dorothy Ashley was born June 1, 1940, in Pine Springs. Died 2009.
this is really beautiful item and you will love it! it is in excellent vintage condition! the stones are still shiny and well polished! please note - this bracelet can not be bent a lot for the size adjustment. it can be only slightly adjusted to your wrist opening so you can comfortably put it on. I would not recommend to bend it more as it is thick bracelet and also it can ruin the cabochons settings. my wrist is 6" and it is comfortable to wear, probably up to 7" will be fine, but please see photos near ruler.

at least 2 stones (I could find) are backed - please see 2nd -3rd photo - it can be seen a little from one side.
please read very important info about Backing : from a popular online source-
"Since FINER turquoise is often found as thin seams, it may be glued to a base of stronger foreign material as a means of reinforcement. These stones are termed "backed," and it is standard practice that all thinly cut turquoise in the Southwestern United States is backed. Native indigenous peoples of this region, because of their considerable use and wearing of turquoise, have found that backing increases the durability of thinly cut slabs and cabochons of turquoise. They observe that if the stone is not backed it will often crack. Backing of turquoise is not widely known outside of the Native American and Southwestern United States jewellery trade.
Backing does NOT diminish the value of HIGH quality turquoise, and indeed the process is expected for most thinly cut American commercial gemstones"

so I ve found only 2 stones to be backed and they are the smallest ones. it is possible that all/or more than 2 are backed as well, but it is not noticeable as the master made it so well and been able to hide under the multiple prongs:-)

Returns & exchanges

As my items are pre owned (antique/vintage) and not new I do not accept returns.
As each item is vintage/antique and it is only ONE available so I can not afford multiple shipping of the same item to many customers as it simply will RUIN the item.
Fine valuable Antique/vintage items should be handled only by one person - it is not a mass production and can not be replaced. this type of the item will not survive with multiple shipping/trying/returning. THANK YOU for reading this and understanding!
Also there is a risk of fraudulent replacement of the parts by a buyer - so these reasons will not allow me to accept returns. thank you for your understanding.

Please review photos and read description carefully for sizes, weight, condition. the photos are part of description. All of the gems, metals are garatneed as described (been tested by professional gemologist).
The pieces sold in my shop are vintage/antique, preowned - not new. they may show wear/age patina. but if it is something major - it will be mentioned in listing.
please if you need a new item it is always possible to buy from another shops, which specializes on selling new items. my items are not new.
I try to describe my items to the best of my ability, but I am human and may miss something unintentionally, Please look at each photograph carefully, as they are part of the description. if you need more photos - please contact me and I will be happy to send more photos.
in RARE cases I could accept a return. PLEASE contact me first if you wish to return the item within 1day after purchase. return it in the same condition as received and pack it the same way. shipping and insurance cost are buyers responsibility.
refund will be given right after receiving and inspecting the item.
