This Stangl Blue Tulip Sherbet #3637 is hand-carved and hand-painted. It is a beautiful early piece of Stangl that has hand brushed engobe. There are no chips or cracks.

Stangl Blue Tulip was designed by Kay Hackett and introduced in 1942. In the 1940's it was sold exclusively through Marshall Field's department store in Chicago. In the 1960's Blue Tulip was "made exclusively" for Bloomingdale's in New York and Marshall Field in Chicago. These pieces were usually marked with the stores' names.
