Elegant Iris Badge (Patch, Pin, Brooch, or Magnet)
Description
The bearded iris is one of my very favorite flowers! Their rich indigo color and lemon-like fragrance, as well as how they always bloom around my birthday, all make them wonderful to me. This iris is larger than I embroider flowers, typically.
--
This item is a sew-on patch.
I also offer these options at no extra cost:
- pin/brooch (I use bar pins. If you'd like the image rotated in a specific way, please let me know!)
- magnet
Please select the style you'd like (patch, pin, or magnet) before adding to your cart.
Items are shown next to a yard stick (inches) and penny to give approximate size. This item is shown next to others from the same "batch." You can find the others in my shop!
--
What can you do with this item? You can wear it as a patch, pin, or brooch on your bag, jacket, hat, shirt collar, lapel, scarf, or anywhere you wish. You could frame it alone or with other patches as tiny artwork to display! Attach a ribbon or string and use it as an ornament or hang it from your car mirror! You could glue it to a hair clip for a unique hair ornament! Transform it into a necklace pendant! As a magnet, it would make a beautiful addition to your fridge or filing cabinet!
Cleaning: The embroidery floss I use is colorfast, but I would still recommend only gentle spot cleaning. If you must machine wash it (such as the case with patch sewn to clothing), I'd recommend going with the coldest and gentlest wash and dry cycles (air dry if you can) to avoid any damage or distortion to the stitches. Disclaimer: I've never attached a patch to an article that's needed washing, so this is my best guess.
Thank you for viewing!

Shipping policies
Items will be shipped via USPS First Class between 1 and 3 days after payment has been received.
International rates have skyrocketed, so I apologize for the shipping costs outside the US! Sometimes an item can be mailed at a less expensive rate, which I will refund to you ASAP! This is usually the case with patches, which can be mailed at a lower rate because they're thinner.

Custom Order Information:
- After you contact me, and after we discuss the details of your order (see suggestions down the page), I'll be able to give you an estimate of the price and the time it will take me to complete it.
---- Prices start at $15 for one piece. The price will be higher or (less commonly) lower on size or difficulty of the order.
---- Please remember that price estimate is just that: an estimate. The price I give during the initial consultation may need to change as I get into the order (for example, an order being more or less involved than expected). Typically, +/- $5 dollars is the range of price change. I will definitely notify you of any change in price.
---- More complex orders may require an upfront payment before I begin work.
---- Typically, it's safe to expect an order to take about a week to finish.
- Because the quality of my work and your satisfaction are the most important things to me, I'll keep you posted on your custom piece as I make it! I'll run an image of the finished piece by you before listing it. If you have anything you'd like me to modify, within reason, I'm happy to rework.
- Once you're happy with the work, I'll list the item to be sold at the final price!

Suggestions: Things to consider about a custom order:
- Border color and type
- Background color
- Type of stitch connecting front to border/backing
- Thickness of border
- Size and shape of patch/pin: most of my patches are in the 1 to 3 inch range.
- Generally, bigger patches mean more stitches, therefore they'll cost more.
If you have reference pictures, that is certainly helpful!
