this is a scene from a the artist's home, a thai village called baan nam som, which means village of the beautiful water, in the udon thani province.

the painter, aphira, is an independent artist, teacher, volunteer, and promoter of art education. his art has been displayed in many auspicious places including the thai king's fine arts center for the king's 86th birthday, at the king's 84th birthday celebration in nongkai, in offices, memorials, and art galleries in laos, bangkok, and the khao lak phang nga province.

he teaches art to disadvantaged children all around thailand and he has organized an art camp for blind children in vientiane, laos for 6 years.

he believes that art does not need to be flashy; art is only here to make us feel.

Love it! It's absolutely gorgeous and the seller shipped it very fast. I immediately hung it up by a window and it looks amazing.
