Description

**Please Note: This listing is for the CROCHET TUTORIAL to MAKE YOUR OWN crocheted piece using this Carry Up technique, NOT for an actual product! Visit my EyeLoveKnots shop and use the search box to search for products, or send me a message for a custom order :) **

I recently was working a project that required many color changes. Typically, I would fasten off at every color change and weave in my ends because I just wasn't happy with the other techniques, but I wasn't in the mood to weave in all these ends this particular time so after playing around with it a few minutes, I came up with a technique I fell in love with. If not for this technique, I probably would not have attempted such project or any futures ones with multiple color changes.

Before I start, typically to work a yarn carry you just drop the color and pick up the new one and then switch off as you are ready, but I don't like working in this manner because it leaves strands of yarn vulnerable to getting snagged, and creates an unslightly view, even though it's on the inside of your project and not really seen. I came up with this technique to avoid all of the that, and create a seamless piece.

In the images I am using an I9/5.5mm Crochet Hook and Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in Red, Jelly Bean [Green], White and Turquoise, but the technique is universal.

Secure options
  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
I accept Paypal.

Returns & exchanges

I do not offer refunds. Please be sure in what you are purchasing beforehand!
I do my very best to be as clear in current listings, and emails regarding custom orders so there is no confusion as to what you will be receiving.

I will refund a shipping overpayment if overpaid by more than 1.00.

For Coaster Purchases: IF you receive broken coasters/a broken coaster, please contact me right away with a picture.
PLEASE NOTE, I take care to wrap each individual coaster in bubble wrap so as to prevent breakage.

Should you receive an item that you are unhappy with, you may contact me with a request for shop credit (that you can use at a later time to purchase something else in my shop), or exchange. This is subject to my approval, and may be denied.

*Please note that each item in my shop (aside from craft supplies) is handmade by myself. I shop for the materials, prep and assemble them as necessary or crochet - sometimes spending hours of time and hard work - package, and ship all by myself. It is unfair for me to offer refunds.

No exchanges on earrings will be accepted for health reasons.

Additional policies

I welcome custom orders!

Please be sure in what you are purchasing beforehand! I do my very best in getting all the pertinent information prior to making an item. I will then make a swatch of your request and email you a photo for approval. If you are happy with it, I will then complete the item and get it ready for shipping. If you are unhappy with it, I will make adjustments at that time. You may choose to cancel your order up until this point, but not after.

I will also notify you during the custom requesting process of the estimated cost. If approved and you haven't purchased a listing yet, a custom listing will be created for you to purchase. If there is an overpayment, you will be refunded the difference.

I do my best to ship in a timely manner, but I will not ship without full payment. Please plan accordingly. Also, if needed before the expected shipping date noted on each listing, please contact me first to make sure that I can accommodate the request.

15% of every purchase is donated to the National Retinoblastoma Research and Support Foundation to aid in the medical advances and new discoveries in the fight against Retinoblastoma, blindness and other eye diseases. Feel free to contact me for more info.
