T-shirt quilts are a great way to preserve memories. They make special gifts for graduations, showers, birthdays, and Eagle Courts of Honor. They can commemorate vacations, hobbies, teams, schools, sororities and other interests. You might consider having one made for the team raffle or fraternity auction. The possibilities are endless!

This is a queen size quilt, consisting of 25 shirts, approximately 96”x96”.

Each square is a t-shirt, but if the image on one shirt is too small to make up a full square, it can be combined with another shirt from the same or similar activity. Depending on the images, 2 shirts can either be seamed together, or perhaps a pocket logo can be appliquéd onto another shirt. Instead of using every shirt you love, try to get a representation of activities. If you only have 12 shirts, that’s great. If you have more, we can work on combining shirts.

The shirts are stabilized and squared, then separated by sashing fabric and cornerstones. Two colors of contrasting\/coordinating fabrics are used for the sashing, border, backing and binding for the quilt. Once I have completed the quilt top, it is machine quilted to the back with a layer of batting between. This is the main difference between my quilts and others. The machine quilting in an all over design gives the quilt stability and longevity. I use a daisy pattern for girls and a jigsaw pattern for boys. The stitching really completes the quilt.

I am also able to offer a fabric memory patch consisting of the recipient’s photo and a short sentiment. Or, you may prefer an embroidered monogram. Either patch would be stitched to the front right bottom corner of the quilt.

The price for a quilt of this size is $550 which includes all fabric and materials and shipping the quilt back to you. It will take 4 to 6 weeks to complete.

Here’s what I need from you:
25 shirts, prewashed without fabric softener. Please pin a note on the side of the shirt you want to use and anything else I might need to know about what should be used from the shirt. Once I get the shirts I can call you if I have any questions about which ones you may want to combine. Please do not cut any of the shirts.

Suggestions for fabric colors are welcomed. Please include a ribbon or swatch or picture of the two colors you’d like to use. School colors, room colors, favorite colors…really anything goes. I’ll choose two coordinating calicos.

If you’d like a memory patch, please include your photo, sentiment, or monogram.

You will love this quilt! I have many satisfied customers, many of them repeats. If you’d like other sizes, please convo me and we’ll discuss.

KS Residents please include sales tax of 8.05%.
