This pair of earrings is made of stamped sterling silver with a gilded finish. The earrings have a three beam shape embellished with a double ribbon. A round disc with the screw closure is fixed to the hollow back sides. These screw backs are in good working condition. The discs are stamped "Coro Mexico Sterling". These pieces of jewelry date to the Fourties and are manufactured in Mexico. In the period 1943-1950 the Coro company contracted Mexican companies for designing and manufacturing part of their silver jewelry. This as a result of shortage of base metals due to the needs of the war industry during the 2nd World War. Made of precious metal, these earrings are also wearable for persons allergic to nickel; rather rare items, opportunity for collectors !
