This is a beloved children's book about BABAR the elephant king. This book has been a favorite of young and old for generations. It has been translated from the French by Merle S. Haas. Random house has a copyright from 1935 and 1963. This book for its age, is in excellent condition. The spine is also in perfect condition. Please see photo #3 as proof. From this books condition, it must have been read once then placed on a shelf. There are no folded pages, missing pages or soiled pages. The blank page at the beginning has the following written in, Got at "Doubleday Book Store " "Quincy Markets" Boston, Mass 1990. Please see photo #2. Other than that, the book is perfect.
