Description

This double stranded necklace has a single Aqua Jade bead hanging delicately below a row of heishi Moonstone beads that shimmer with tones of blue in the light.

*As natural stones are used in the making of this product, color variations are natural. Be advised that your order may not look exactly like the one in the photo, however it will be similar, and unique - just like you!

"Alaskan Floats" necklaces were inspired by the Japanese glass floats that began to wash up on the rocky shores of Southeast Alaska in the years following the Tsunami. Many floats shattered upon impact, however the occasional float survives its landing. Finding these floats is akin to finding a "diamond in the rough."

Designed to lay daintily in the space between your collar bones, these delicate necklaces seem to "float" on the fine wire they rest on. Accentuating the curvature of your neck and enhancing your femininity with their simplistic design, they also represent the whimsical notion of finding your own "diamond in the rough."

The Alaskan Floats line is particularly alluring to those who lead an active lifestyle. They are versatile, layer-able, virtually weightless, not to mention pretty. Perhaps best of all is that they can transition easily from work, to working out, to a night out on the town - you'll hardly notice you're wearing it. Whether you are a true Alaskan gal who plays with the outdoors, salmon, and chainsaws, or you are a city girl with a flair for eye-catching simplicity, these necklaces are sure to suit your needs.

All floats can be strung on either silver or gold. If you don't see the one you want in the options, message us directly and we will be happy to fulfill your request.

I am excited to start weaving with the cedar. Thank you for harvesting it and making it available. One question — has it been a year so it is properly aged? If so, I read were it needs to be soaked for 7 days before working with it. I am open to any suggestions or references you might have. I just google cedar bark weaving and watched some YouTube videos. Thanks again. I am excited to get started.
