Jack and Misty Slater couldn't get enough of shabby industrial stuff. Their urban Chicago loft was filled with rusty pieces of metal and industrial age office furniture re-purposed for everyday living. Jack had always liked the look of cold steel but Misty surprised herself that she too loved the look as well, the rustier the better. It was a far cry from the Country Blue and oak furniture she grew up with in her suburban home. Whenever her mom came to visit them, she was concerned that the young couple was having a tough time financially and assumed they had resorted to dumpster diving to find furniture for their place. She even offered to take them to Ethan Allen's to buy them a couple of nice pieces of furniture.

Jack and Misty would grab this old card file drawer in a heartbeat to do with it whatever those crazy kids can think of. This old drawer looks like it once lived in a machine shop, factory or repair shop. We're not sure what it was originally used for but it was from cabinet of some sort--maybe to hold work orders, invoices, etc. Made in the USA by Wilson Jones probably in the 1950s-60s. It measures 19" long, 6.5" wide and 5" tall with a 9" tall movable divider that is angled. It weighs approx. 6.5 lbs and is made of gray steel with black rubber runners on the bottom inside of the drawer. We think this old file drawer would be great for displaying old books for photographs. The divider slides the full length of the drawer so you and prop up items and any point.

This piece is structurally sound but does have a nice patina of distressing from years of use including scratches, worn paint, stains and some surface rust on the bottom inside panel.

Shipping price is for the lower 48 USA states only and this item will probably ship via FedEx Ground to the lower 48 USA States. Please be sure and provide a physical shipping address (no PO Boxes).
