Description

An 8 x 8" one-of-a-kind fused glass bowl, it's great for serving snacks to guests. It's dishwasher and food safe. I like making eclectic pieces that are not restricted by exact lines and spacing. Carnival is a good example of that.

Making fused glass is really a 4-step process.
1) I have to cut out the glass shapes that I want and place them on a large base piece of glass.
2) All of the pieces of glass are glued down to that base so they will remain where I want them.
3) They are baked in the kiln to "fuse" them all together.
4) The finished piece is then placed in a mold to give it its final shape and re-fired for another 4 hours.
