While diamonds are created from the compression of coal and minerals over many hundreds of years in the earth, moissanite comes from the stars. Originally, this rare gem was found in fragments of meteorite in pieces so small that cutting a gemstone from them was impossible. After many years of work this natural mineral was successfully grown in a lab. This process allowed Charles & Colvard to create some of the most brilliant and beautiful colorless gems, rivaling the traditional beauty of diamonds in clarity and size and outshining diamonds with their brilliance and fire. However many companies now make moissanite. They are called generic moissanite. Forever one comes with lifetime warranty.

It is important to properly care for simulated diamonds to keep them shiny and radiant for many years.

Remove your ring when working out, showering or bathing, when applying lotions, using hairspray, or chemicals such as acetone.

Use a soft brush to clean the stones themselves, scrubbing gently with warm, mild soapy water to get rid of any dirt accumulation. Rinse the stones well in warm water, since soap scum can build up easily, and then pat it dry with a soft, clean cloth. Don't ever use tissues to wash or dry jewelry
