This vase is not only beautiful, it is functional. The red is a vibrant translucent color with yellow spots and stringers. It almost looks like branches and leaves or flowers.
This hand blown glass vase is made by me in my glass studio. I gather 2100 degree Fahrenheit molten glass onto a blow pipe where I add the color and blow it into it's shape. I then have to break it off the pipe, turn it around and finish the top while it is still hot. If you have never seen the process see if there is a local glass blower in your area, we love to share our passion. Each piece is annealed in a kiln where it slowly comes back down to room temperature. I can't see the final piece until the next day.
You will receive the piece pictured, it is one of a kind. The vase is 6.25 inches tall and 4.75 inches wide (at the top)
