Sea foam on the sea shore, sterling silver ring

As the sea joins the sandy beach often it produces a foam and beautiful reflections of light as seen in this ring, it will also make a striking statement on your hand. The ring stretches across the back of two fingers and is comfortable to wear.

Size O, the feature is 26mm x 43mm.

This ring has been made using the ancient technique of Cuttlefish casting. The process of Cuttlefish casting involves taking a cuttlefish bone found on the beach, I cut it in two and carve out a basic design, and a funnel. I then rejoin the two halves and melt sterling silver until it is molten and pour it quickly into the mould. The mould crackles and cools. After cooling I open the mould to see if I have made a successful cast. I then take the crude form back to my bench where I spend many hours filing and emerying before polishing and finally presenting it for sale. Many hidden hours goes into my cuttlefish cast jewellery.
