About the potter:
Welcome to my MissPottery shop! This colorful pottery is meant to bring joy to your day every time you use it. Each piece is made with love and small shop attention to detail. Come on in and browse and contact me if there are any questions or if you don't see what you are looking for. I've been on etsy since 2007 and have over 12,000 sales to almost every corner of the world.
I'm Melissa Older and my clay story began more than 21 years ago after I left my day job to take care of my firstborn son. Almost immediately after leaving my job I fell in love with clay and everything about the process of creating pottery and have been doing it ever since.
Everything in my MissPottery shop has been created in my studio either on the wheel or by hand building. I also glaze and fire each item myself.
I enjoy making pieces that you will find are functional, touchable, colorful and whimsical as well as lovely to have on display in your home when they are not in use.
How did I get the name for my shop? My husband nicknamed me Little Miss Pottery many years ago and suggested I use it as a shop name.
