Purple and silver are my favorite colors so I used silvertone chains and round amethyst beads with silvertone wire clover beads in this handflower. So pretty!

The four amethyst beads attached to the clover bead in the center are a little darker than the five around the outside.

The wrist chain is adjustable with a lobster clasp; Fits wrist size 4.75-7.5inches.
The handflower stretches over your hand to four inches from your wrist to your knuckle, and will lay over the back of your hand 3.5 inches wide. The ring for the middle finger is 3.5 inches around. A 6inch chain goes around the thumb for extra stability.

Bracelet adjustable for wrist size 121mm-190mm
100mm long from wrist to knuckle, 75mm wide over the back of the hand, 92mm finger chain, 152mm long chain around the thumb.

To wear this handflower, put your middle finger through the center chain ring and your thumb through the thumb chain on the side, lay the handflower over the back of your hand, and latch the clasp onto the wrist chain around your wrist at whatever spot fits you best. The handflower is reversible so it can be worn on either hand.

Can be combined nicely with other rings and bracelets (not included).

Frequently asked questions about ShadowCutterJewelry

Handflowers are bracelet-ring combinations worn over the back of your hand; they are also called slave bracelets because the ring is attached to the bracelet in a way that makes it all one piece, having two parts that are inseparable and dependent on each other. They're also called ring bracelets or harem bracelets, or they can be called hath panja which means "hand claw" in Hindi.
Chainmaille (also spelled chainmail or chain mail) is originally a medieval under-armor made of lots of chain links or rings woven together in a pattern. Most chainmaille pieces take several hours to a few days to make. Protective chainmail was almost always made of steel; chainmaille jewelry is often made of copper, aluminum, silver, or gold, and should not be used as armor. Even most modern-day steel chainmail (as used in cosplay or reenactment) is not meant as real armor against real weapons, although sometimes chainmail is used for protection, such as in butchers gloves.
The name is not related to chain letters or spam and I only send messages related to orders or responding to your message.
"ShadowCutter" is a screen name that my sister came up with, inspired by my personal "prism in the dark" and "pierce the darkness" theme, which is inspired by a sticker I found that says "the dark is afraid of me". I've been collecting things that fit this theme, especially pictures of glowing or shining things, and Scripture verses such as John 1:4-5:
"Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."
No. The original use of chainmaille as we know it from Medieval times and other parts of history was under-armor protection, but most people nowadays don't use chainmaille for actual protection. My chainmaille specifically is only jewelry and is not protective against pointy things or especially bullets. Some steel chainmaille can deflect slash-type attacks but is not so effective against stab-type. Animals' teeth and claws can also catch on chainmaille and pull it apart. Please do NOT try to use my jewelry for protection.
It probably would hurt, but would probably also break it if you hit hard enough or catch it on anything, and would probably make the person mad and not unable to hit back. I do not condone gratuitous violence using my jewelry, and do not accept returns or repairs after clear abuse/ misuse of the items. It is not in any way intended to be a weapon. Refer to police tips or self-defense training for actual advice concerning defending yourself in the event of an attack.
Generally you should follow the "better safe than sorry" rule on this one, some will set off metal detectors and some won't, it shouldn't be seen as suspicious or weaponry but don't try to wear a lot of it through airport security.
I do not copy the work or other artists or companies. I will sometimes be able to make a custom item that is a variation on my other work (if you want basically what I have in my shop with a different size or color for instance), but those are the only requests I can take. An exception can be made if the request is for a basic weave of chainmaille that you happened to see online, I just cannot directly copy someone else's specific design.
Please contact me about what metals you can and cannot wear; if you'd like an item in my shop which might have something you're allergic to I can custom-make a new one in metals you can wear. Please note that an upgrade in materials such as sterling silver or gold will increase the price from the original item, and stainless steel may also cost a little more than other materials. I plan to add more stainless steel items here and on my website in the near future.
I started out making my own rings for chainmaille by coiling and cutting 20gauge wire or 16gauge wire by hand, but to save time and for better quality I now buy my rings from online chainmaille supply vendors.
