This recycled glass glass necklace features an oval lace doily motif.

I handpaint the lace motif with a fine-tipped quill pen. The paints I use are traditional glass enamels, similar to china paints or ceramic glaze. I fire them in the kiln at 1300 degrees F, where they fuse permanently to the glass. The image will never scratch or fade. You can read more about this technique in my profile.

The glass in this necklace is 100% reclaimed glass, salvaged from a discarded picture frame. I cut, shape and fuse the glass by hand, then polish it to a smooth, glossy luster. This pendant is on the larger side, about 2 3\/4" (7 cm) wide and 1.5" (3.5 cm) tall.

The chain is 100% sterling silver. I add a large lobster clasp that is easy to put on and take off.

The necklace is about 15 inches long. If you prefer a different length please tell me when you order. I can customize it to your size.
