Thank you for your patience.

This is a lovely butterfly quilt pattern called, naturally, BUTTERFLIES, by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts.

I am pleased to offer some of Edyta's beautiful quilt patterns. Her patterns are consistently beautiful and easy to use.

Her quilts feature natural elements such as plants, flowers, and butterflies, and other elements such as houses and umbrellas. She uses beautiful batik fabrics in most of her designs; however they are suitable to many different fabrics.

I love, love, love this pattern. It finishes at 48" x 57 1/2", making it a nice size for a throw or hanging. Individual butterflies could be used in any number to make a project from pillow-size on up.

This pattern uses raw edge applique to make a bevvy of butterflies. Dive into your stash (or buy a few more must-have batiks) to make these lovely butterfly appliques in your favorite colors and prints. Make all the butterflies for a lovely quilt, or single out one for an accompanying pillow.

The applique is done using Edyta's favorite fused technique. You make cut your butterfly images from the pattern given, or make it easier on yourself by purchasing and using the optional stencil shape here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/268500211/quilt-stencil-butterfly-stencil-edyta?ref=listings_manager_grid

Complete instructions are included with the pattern.

I have included a photo of the pattern back to give you some guidance in selecting fabrics for your special project. Edyta gives very specific color numbers if you prefer to use her fabrics, but you can use anything you like to make the project your own.

She recommends this pattern for any level quilter.
