This beautiful table is made from authentic, salvaged and reclaimed scaffold board once used in construction and brought back to life by our talented craftsmen. The wood is full of history and character which gives it it’s distinctive industrial but warm feel.

The table top sits on the iconic “British Steel, Hairpin Legs” our nod to GREAT British design, and is fully customisable to your dimensions, colours and wood finishes.

ABOUT THE WOOD
This piece of furniture is made from reclaimed wood. We celebrate signs of wear and tear that come with age. These can include splits, dents, nail holes, saw marks, wood knots, spray paint, staining and natural curves and bowing in the wood…

Regardless of these distinctive marks, each piece is carefully tailored to assure a sound, solid and lasting piece of furniture that is both beautiful and functional.

The wood we use comes from a life mainly spent outdoors. Each board has been exposed to different previous life experiences and therefore each table will express this differently. We make each piece using the same joinery and surface treatment.

Scaffolding wood is a natural, living material, and part of its charm is that it develops over time. This means that surface splits may start to appear with the natural movement of the wood. Knots will vary in size and location and a subtle colour variation can also be expected. These distinctive qualities give the range a unique feel, as no two pieces will be exactly the same. To keep your furniture looking its best, we recommend periodic oiling.

FINISHES
We sand the wood to create a functional smooth writing, dining, or seating surface whilst maintaining the original aged aesthetic.

After a final fine sanding, we finish the wood with the best quality mix of natural oils, stains and waxes which protects and enhances the wood. This gives a durable and resistant finish to your furniture that is easily cleaned and easily maintained

The final colour, tone and shade of each individual item is unique. It will vary from board to board, and from piece to piece due to the nature of the reclaimed wood and the hand making process

ABOUT THE LEGS
Our most popular design is the Classic 3-Rod Hairpin Leg which can take tops of up to 60kg.

For larger items we supply our furniture with Heavy Duty 3-Rod Hairpin Legs (12mm steel) these are incredibly robust and strong enough to hold 120kg

This table comes as standard with our classic 3-Rod Hairpin Leg in RAW steel finish (if not sanded back and wiped, it will rust over the time, even indoors, adding to the distinctive industrial look)

SHIPPING

It will usually be shipped flat packed, with the legs detached to avoid damage in transit. Sometimes the 2 or more packages of your consignment may not arrive together.

We supply all our furniture with special furniture insert nuts, bolts and an Allen key. It is very easy and quick to assemble.

For UK BUYERS our furniture is mainly sent via courier, on a 24hr or 48hr service (according to the size). LARGER ITEMS are sent with a private courier of trust (they will be in touch with you to arrange ETA once the furniture is dispatched). Our partner couriers offer a great flexible service for your peace of mind. You can always change and re-arrange delivery date according to your convenience.

We can also arrange morning or SATURDAY DELIVERIES (UK only) additional charge applies, so check options when purchasing.

For EU BUYERS and NORTH AMERICA we send our furniture with different couriers, mainly DHL, FedEx and UPS. It will usually take 2-5 working days, from collection date to delivery date.

What kind of timber do you use?

Unless otherwise specified, all timber is reclaimed pine scaffolding board from a local scaffolding yard - it has varying degrees of wear and tear from it's years spent on building sites... This wood has unique character and we do not use a 4-sided planer or mill the wood to remove the original salvaged patina on the wood and make the surface look perfect and square on all edges. Your furniture may have nail holes, saw marks, staining and natural curves and bowing in the wood... It may have nicks and dents and texture, stains and splits. We can sand the wood to create a functional smooth writing, dining, or seating surface whilst maintaining the original aged aesthetic as much as possible

(cont.) ...However, we never use badly damaged or bowed pieces which would affect its overall performance. What we are saying is that this wood has some character and soul to it. If you aren’t positive that is your style and/or you are looking for a very modern, highly finished, milled perfectly squared surface you may be at the wrong place. Additionally, there is variation in the colour of the boards and some are lighter or a bit darker. All pieces are unique and will vary slightly in character and colour from the exact pieces on our shop. The boards are never square or flat... they are twisted and bowed in all directions possible... If we have any severely warped or bowed boards we reject them, but we have to pass tolerances of 2-3cm

Keeping your furniture looking beautiful...

- Always clean your table with a cloth and warm water.
- Don’t use abrasive sponges or chemicals or cleaners which remove surface oils.
- Use place mats and coasters as much as possible to protect the surface from heat and liquids.

We finish all our furniture with a high quality ecological product called TREATEX hard wax oil. This product is 100% ecological and is made from a mixture of natural oils and waxes.
To every surface we apply 3 coats of TRETEX. At some point in the future, perhaps in a year or so, you may wish to re-coat using this product. You can follow the advice on the link below. We recommend their Wax Polish for maintenance

We ordered a dinning table and a coffee table and we were more than happy at the delivery! We couldnt find any suitable table on the market, we were looking for a lovely piece of old wood but not in a rustic heavy style. Hairpin legs give a light, modern character to this furniture! such beautiful craftsmanship. I ordered the rustic wood table in the antique color and Agus made sure that the staining matched the one represented on the website, like I wanted. The wood is thick and though reclaimed, it looks so natural, with imperfections and all, which sets it apart from all mass produced wood works. I love the table and can't say enough about the seller. Agus was courteous, professional and great at communication. He made an exception to ship to the USA (NYC) and everything within a short time span (I think work and shipment in less than 2 weeks). I highly recommend this seller and his wonderful products.
