Description

This is an extremely rare book (first edition, first printing) of what was obviously a labor of love by acclaimed author and U.S. Naval scholar, Robert W. Neeser.

In it, he lists the United States Navy ships of the day (circa 1920) and the story behind each ship's name. He also describes the process by which a ship gains its name. The detail derived from his intimate knowledge and clear respect for the Navy make this a rich piece of history, not to be missed.

This book has minor wear but is in remarkably good condition for a book that was published almost 100 years ago. It is a rare treasure for anyone with a love of history and the sea!

Due to age and rarity of the book, it will ship via USPS Priority Mail, both domestically and internationally.
