Custom and personalized orders

Since there are so many variations possible in my items, I love to do custom orders. Usually there is no additional charge (for different size, color, unique color combinations, etc.), and coordinating colors can be a fun way to group different items to make a custom gift set. If you have something custom in mind just message me. We can work together to design what you want and I'll let you know pricing, then set up an order just for you.

Hats & baby shoes/booties: Unless noted otherwise in the item description, the yarn and embellishments I use are machine washable. However, I recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to extend the life of your item. Burp Cloths: Machine wash warm with like colors, tumble dry low.

Giving items as gifts

Items are wrapped in tissue paper and twine, ready to give as a gift or enjoy yourself. You can also upgrade to gift wrap, which is a neutral gift paper unless you tell me the occasion, in which case I can tailor something more specific (birthday, new baby, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.). If you are buying something as a gift to be sent directly to the recipient, please let me know so I can include a note. I will write your preferred message if you tell me what you want it to say.

Generally I can have an item ready to ship within 2-4 days, if not sooner. I will let you know when it is estimated to ship when you place your order, and once it ships you will get a USPS tracking number so you can know when it should arrive. If you need something by a certain date please message me before you order and I can let you know if that is possible.

I work hard to create hats and gifts that I would be proud to give to my own friends and family, so I want you to be very satisfied with your order. I have made many of these items multiple times to give away as gifts. I use mainly Lion brand yarn, which is soft and washable. It stands up to years of wear. I have figured out certain tricks, such as securing the button eyes so they don't come loose even with tough treatment. It is important to me that you can use the burp cloths over and over and that your child can wear these hats and shoes/booties every day and they will stand up over time.

Shipping cost for multiple items

Shipping is included in the price, but you may want to upgrade shipping to get your goodies faster. If you are considering purchasing multiple items, keep in mind that often the second or even third item may ship for less than $1 more than just one item. Etsy will calculate the upgraded shipping cost when you order, but if it turns out to be less I will refund the difference. If you have questions about items you are thinking of ordering together, please ask!

You can use the age of the wearer as a start on hat sizing, but if you want to get more specific, here are the general measurements I work from (measure around the entire head, over the ears and at the forehead, about where the hat would sit): Hat size Head measurement Preemie 12-13" Newborn +/- 13" 0-3 mo. 13-14" 3-6 mo. 14-15" 6-9 mo. 15-16" 9-12 mo. 16-17" (for some hats this covers 6-12 mo.) Toddler/Preschooler 18-19" Child 19-20" Teen/Adult 20-21" Adult Large 22-23" Let me know if you have a special circumstance - I have attempted micro-preemie sizing up to extra-large men's heads. Even a hat for a cat! But that's a story for another time...

These crochet pirate baby booties are a great baby gift for baby boy, for a pirate baby shower, or just for your pirate baby!

As with all my crochet baby shoes and baby booties these are made with soft yarn and are hand washable. These baby shoes are classic black and white, with a white sole, black bootie body, and white skull and crossbones accents. If you want this in custom colors just let me know what you want.

Sizes:
XS - 3 1/2" length (approx. 0-3 months)
S - 4" length (approx. 3-6 months)
M - 4 1/4" length (approx. 6-9 months)
L - 4 1/2" length (approx. 9-12 months)
XL - 4 3/4" length (larger 9-12 month foot)
