No squaring of the scraps is needed, and no cutting strips. Simply cut squares of those sizes and you have all the ingredients that you need for these quilts. It is the end all and be all for quilters that have scraps left over from other projects that don't lend themselves to cut into strips. You'll be amazed at how many scraps you will use.

Lovely book! I am new to quilting so I do not have much of a stash yet but I appreciate the concept and hope to try the projects as I get more into quilting! The quality of the book is high and the photos are beautiful. The instructions seem thorough and straightforward (though I haven't tried any yet). I was glad to buy this directly from the author rather than through Amazon even though it costs a few dollars more. Support artists!
