Description

A bouquet of brightly colored flowers fills the glass of this 1 inch square soldered pendant. The picture comes from a "Woman's World" postcard advertising a full year's subscription for only 25 cents. The accompanying "Language of Flowers" poem, printed below, says that these flowers are harebells, lilies, and wild roses. The backside of the pendant is a picture of the recipient in flowery script, a twisted one cent stamp, and a postmark from 1908. The pendant hangs from an antiqued silver chain with a faceted blue glass crystal rondelle as its only other decoration.

The darkened silver chain, with links of 8mm, is 19 inches in length. The lobster claw clasp is free to attach on any link, allowing the necklace length to be as large as 18 inches and as small as you want. Raise it or lower it depending on what you wear and where you want your pendant to hang on your neck. The last link is decorated with another blue faceted crystal rondelle assuring that you will be jeweled from the front and the back. If you need your necklace longer, leave a note at check out time and I can add a few inches as needed, free of charge.

Printed on front side of the postcard...
"Language of Flowers" by C. Preston-Wynne
The "grief" that clouds your days with sorrow stern
The harebell rings -- in sad and plaintive strain:
These lilies wish your "happiness return"
The wild rose tells of "pleasure after pain."

Each pendant has artwork covered in glass and is soldered with lead-free silver solder. The soldered edges are not waterproof...it will take a small splash, but not a dunk.

I can take any photo or artwork and transform it into your own creation. If you would like to create your own necklace, check out the custom soldered necklace in my shop.

Shipping policies

My shipping time is the extreme side of how long it will take me to make your item and have it ready to ship to you. I often have local shows and my custom order list can be long. If I am not very busy however, I may have your item ready in a fraction of the time. Feel free to contact me about current production time. I can give you a fairly accurate estimation of the time it will take me to make your jewelry and get it to the post office.

I ship USPS First Class because it is most cost effective for both of us. Remember that the shipping time is added onto the time that it takes to make your jewelry item. First Class shipping generally takes 3-7 business days, depending on your location. If you are needing a faster shipping time, I can ship Priority Mail which will take 2-3 business days instead. However there is an added $4 fee if I do use Priority Mail. You can either contact me before you pay so I can adjust your cost, or if you have already paid, I can add a listing for you with the difference. Be sure to contact me as soon as possible so I can take care of any necessary changes.

All shipping within the US will come with delivery confirmation and tracking. If you are interested in having me add on insurance, or are needing me to send to several addresses, contact me and we can figure the cost difference.

International orders do not come with tracking information. Please allow 2-4 weeks for international shipping.

Problems with shipping are rare, but if you either do not receive your package or something comes to you damaged, please contact me. I need to state that I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages, but I am happy to help...we'll work it out.
