Description

I'm not saying these poor, lost circus performers want to kidnap you, but since they need to start a war, they might consider it.

This crochet pattern provides detailed instructions and a kingdom's worth of photos to help you create everybody's favorite criminals. To follow the pattern, you'll need yarn in these colors: white, tan, brown, gray, dark green, blue, black, and something that approximates Caucasian flesh tone, plus a scrap of dark red and a scrap of rust for costume detailing. For the giant's hair, I recommend a Lion Homespun in black (or similar brand, to help with texture). I used 18mm safety eyes for the giant and 12mm for the other two.

If you plan to make the optional sword, you'll need floral or jewelry wire, a D hook, and a sport weight or fingering yarn in gray and tan. For the rest of the pattern (that is, everything that is not the optional sword), you'll want an F hook.

I would classify this as an intermediate pattern, but don't be intimidated! It's all very sportsmanlike. Required stitches include sc, HDC, and DC. Decreases include single (sc2tog), half double (HDC2tog) and double (DC2tog). I have included a photo tutorial for the HDC2tog and DC2tog decreases, since they are slightly less common.

When finished, Fezzik stands 9.5”, while Inigo rings in at 7” and Vizzini can do the limbo at 6”.

I also sell a pattern for a Menacing Rodent. https://www.etsy.com/listing/240417941/pattern-for-a-menacing-rodent?
