Here's another one of my Southern Ball gown's I did this one after the eggplant gown. Here's a great true fairytale story, to go with these gowns. I went to the confederate ball in Richmond Va, for the first time wearing the eggplant colored gown, it wasn't until the next year that I realized how much of in impacted it had on the other lady's. I was late to this 2ND ball, My gown was not even all the way complete, had to make due with taking it up in the front. I had to see my grandmother in the intensive care , fighting cancer, prior to driving an hour to Richmond, Va. She's the one pictured on my banner. She was the one who gave me the idea for the sleeves on this blue gown. She had not seen the gown, and I knew she would light up, to see me wearing it. The look on her face went straight to my heart. I was 2 hours late, but it didn't matter it only took 2 minutes to make my night. Well, once I arrived at the ball, I saw 5 woman with eggplant colored gowns on. HA HA HA No one had ever even wore that color before. I took a picture of all of them together, of course I was in baby blue. LOL I love that story, and you thought it was going to have a prince in it. LOL Size can range from and 8 to 14, this one may fit even bigger. This gown must weight at least 50 pounds. If you sew or design clothes, you already know that in order to make those ruffles. it takes lots and lots of fabric. The white ruffles alone, there is over 35 yards of the finest satin. When you walk in this one, it really moves like a belle. I will say it again, these gowns are made just like real gowns back in the day, I spared no expense. You can wear the sleeves off the shoulder or on , your choice. I love the little pantaloons. They just add to it. I enjoyed lifting up my skirt and showing them off. This goes to show, you can be sexy wearing 50 pounds of fabric.
International shoppers welcome.
