The best solution to a puddle of drips on the stove top or side bench is to use a spoon rest. When the cooking utensil is laid across it, any drips are caught on the rest and aren't smeared across the work top.

Utensil Rests from GilmourDesign are crafted from wood (or resin - another listing) and are designed to take up a minimal amount of bench or stove-top space.

Furthermore, these minimal design rests are also wonderful display dishes for small curios or jewellery items.


This utensil rest is sanded to a very smooth finish and is fully sealed with a penetrating food-neutral resin product. You do not need to oil this item as the sealing procedure creates an effective moisture barrier which will greatly slow down the oxidation process during the early years of its life. The rest will last you a very long time and will age beautifully.

I bought this for my Mum as a replacement for a similar spoon that has seen a few decades use. The quality is great and I really love that the type of wood is noted on the handle. Great communication from Bob and postage was really quick.

A fantastic transaction! I love the muddle stick, so well made.
This is a Birthday present for my husband and when I told the seller that timing was important, he not only sent it immediately but also sent it Express (even though I had not specifically paid for Express postage).

The situation can generally be rectified with a return/refund or a return and product exchange. If the buyer receives the wrong item, Gilmour Design covers all refund/shipping/exchange costs. In that event, please initiate a Convo via Etsy straight away.

Refunds for custom made items are based on several criteria. During the planning and creation stages, the buyer will receive images of the item for approval before shipping. If the item ships and the buyer is unhappy, a communication process with the seller should be initiated via Etsy Convo. A refund less shipping cost or partial refund less shipping and agreed-upon development fee may be made at the discretion of the seller if the item is deemed to be "re-sellable" at any selling venue.
