Description

Not a commonly found print. I believe this is from "Historia de los Estados-Unidos" reengraved from a copper engraving. Engraved by J. W. Allen, lower right, and inscribed "ornament by A. H. Wray engraved by E. MC Cabe" on the lower left. Under the sigs it is inscribed "Department of state 19th, April 1819, I certify that this is a correct copy of the original Declaration of Independence, deposited at this department, and that I have compared all the signatures with those of the original and have found them EXACT imitations John Quincy Adams". This has beautiful vignettes all around its border and top. Was originally folded and our example has a separation of the fold somewhat on the top right fold. Overall toning. A pretty tough find. In a plain thin wood frame that shows some wear. Hard backing in the frame and the backing paper should be replaced as it is quite torn. 14. x 10.5 inches approximately.

Returns & exchanges

Almost everything we sell is old and used. Most found at estate sales and auctions that we frequent. Once in awhile we will find "new old stock" but not regularly. We try, to the best of our knowledge, to describe each items general physical and working condition. Please contact us if there is something specific you would like to know about it. With that in mind, refunds are limited. If we grossly describe the item incorrectly or it is damaged in shipping, we will gladly refund your money and shipping charges. For anything other than those reasons such as changing ones mind, buyers remorse, thought it was larger...we will consider each case individually. We want you to be happy with your purchase.

Shipping policies

We ship to United States only at this time. Our normal shipping service is UPS Ground. Although we do at times use USPS. We normally only ship to the confirmed Paypal address of the buyer. If you need it shipped to different address, please contact us before before purchasing. I normally will have your package on the way to you within 24 hours but sometimes it will take 48. Of course with weekends and holidays, it will take some additional time. Insurance is required and is included in the charges shown for shipping.

Additional policies

We are always looking for toys, ephemera and other unusual items to sell at our retail location and have bought large lots of them at a time. We pay competitive prices based on recent internet sales of the same items. If you are looking to sell your collection or item, please contact us on our website: http://www.veryoldstuff.com
