This is a rare yarn from New Zealand that's perfect for sock knitting! It's 80/20 Merino/Nylon and weighs in at just under 1,800 ypp. This 1,170-gram (41-1/4 ozs) cone has approximately 4,410 yards (4,124 meters). It knits up beautifully on sock machines on every cylinder from the 54 on up to the 84. You can also use it for hand-knitting on roughly American size needles 2 through 4.

What makes this yarn so special is that it's just barely spun, maybe two twists per inch, then slightly felted in a special felting machine to hold it together in a perfectly balanced single-ply knitting yarn. It's soft and fluffy and doesn't kink or fall apart when you're working with it.

It felts beautifully and sucks up dye even better. This yarn is white-white-white--a clean palette for your dye projects. Knit it big and felt it to size in the dryer or knit it to size and wash it gently to maintain its unfelted size and shape.
