Description

I began making these flowers for my own wedding (see photos, PC: Becca Rillo Photography, www.beccarillo.com, LA-based, and would highly recommend). My husband and I are both musicians, so I mostly used old sheet music for ours (specifically from an old clarinet method book), however, they can be made out of ANY kind of at least somewhat sturdy paper (pages of old books for example or a favorite design print from Paper Source or other paper product vendors). They can be made in almost any size, depending on the thickness of the paper. Thicker papers only get about as small as the little flower on the boutineer photo, thinner papers can work for even smaller flowers.

For our wedding, I simply gave a giant box of them to my florist (Myra at Celebration Flowers and Events in Santa Clarita, if you are in the greater LA area - highly recommend), and she wired them as necessary and incorporated them beautifully into my bouquet and all other floral and decor arrangements. If you wish to do this, make sure to discuss this with your florist well ahead of time, to make sure they have the appropriate supplies and make the time for it.

I have priced them the same no matter the size as the smaller ones are actually a bit more difficult to make generally speaking. If you are artsy/crafty, you could quite easily learn to make these yourself, BUT if you aren't inclined in that direction, OR you simply don't have the time (I know what that feels like ...), I would be most honored and happy to help contribute to your perfect day or other special occasion! :)
