The collective noun for "cat" is "clowder." I did not know that.
Once I found out, I began to paint a Clowder of Cats based on a photograph of my cat Max, who is my model, muse and snacks manager. The photograph is clipped to a bookcase in my living room studio. Max perches to the left of my painting table in a wonderful piece of cat furniture made by Saint Paul's own cat furniture makers, Purrniture.
Each original is a 12x12 acrylic portrait which requires Max's approval.
