Description

We created this line of tables for our own family. Our finishes are eco-friendly and water-based and contains no chemicals to be gas-off into the house. We finish each table with a durable commercial-grade moisture protective topcoat allowing our kids to eat, bake, and craft their hearts out on it.

Although the wood is, mainly, reclaimed wood - we smooth and plane it to a smooth finish allowing for a great work surface. Our in-house finishes and finish topcoat harden and protect the wood allowing for daily cleaning while feeling “clean” yet naturally rustic at the same time.

We offer these is a variety of sizes so if you can’t find what you need please contact us.

This table is absolutely perfect!! It is well built and beautiful. We have a small townhouse that has no dining room. We really wanted to seat at least 6 and searched everywhere for a narrow table that didn't come with a custom price tag. This table would be perfect in any space. On a side note the real wood smell couldn't be better and it was a piece of cake to assemble. Exactly what we wanted!

All of our work is guaranteed by us and we pride ourselves on your satisfaction.
We except returns on non-custom items within 14 days from receiving the item, contact us for return shipping address. Shipping costs to and return shipping costs are unconditionally non-refundable.

CANCELLATIONS
Since every order is made-to-order, all orders are subject to a 20% cancellation fee to help cover material costs. They are no returns for custom orders.

Our delivery/ship times are 2-3 weeks from the date of order. If you need your item by a specific day, or days, please inquire about those times prior to placing your order. We are not always able to guarantee an order for a specific time once the order is in production.

HOLIDAY DELIVERIES
Often purchases are made with the expectation that they will arrive on or before a upcoming holiday. When working with a third party shipping services our “hands are tied” as to the exact day of delivery, which depends primarily on the shipping company and their shipment capacity for those times. If this is a concern of yours please let us know beforehand so we may be able to better assist you on receiving your item on the day that works best for you.

Although, occasions may arise that are unforeseen and beyond our control - we would be best be able to let you know if there were any problems targeting those dates prior to your order.

SCHEDULED DELIVERIES
North Field ships all our items, unless otherwise arranged, with Fedex.

To best accommodate busy schedules, we have found that if you provide your contact number directly to a Fedex agent this enables the driver to work with you on the best delivery time for your schedule.

To better manage deliveries - Fedex has a service called ‘Fedex Delivery Manager' which allows you schedule a delivery day (they will schedule up to 7 days) and provide a time-window for your delivery. LOCAL PICK-UP - At this time we are not able to offer local pick-up, we do not have a shop open to the public yet and so, as a business, we are not insured for pick-ups at our shop. ABOUT OUR MATERIAL AND FINISHES
All of our items are from real, solid wood that is from either reclaimed, salvaged, or sustainable sources which are FSC certified. We plain and hone the wood to be usable and lightly finish it leaving (and enhancing) its natural wood grain, texture and look. As with any natural material, no piece will look exactly the same - they carry their own unique and individual appearance, grain, knots and overall feel.

We are located outside of the city of Milwaukee and the majority of our materials are collected from the midwest. All of our pieces are handcrafted, in our studio, using local materials - all in the USA.

CUSTOM DIMENSIONS
We specialize in tables that are under 72” long by 30” wide. This is due to the material we collect. We can do custom sizes that fall within those dimensions.

SUBTLE CRACKS OR MOVEMENT WITH RECLAIMED WOOD
As with solid wood, normal humidity along with the use of radiators and heaters (especially in the winter months) may cause the wood to expand and contract. This is a natural occurrence with solid wood. Once the humidity levels return to normal the wood will typically go back to its original position. Avoid direct sunlight as this may change the color of the wood as well as damage the wood. (In some cases, with larger separations a paste filler can be used as it fills and strengthens the wood as well as allowing for the wood to flex.)

Our furniture pieces are not sealed or finished to be used in an exterior setting.

SAP
Since this is solid, real and reclaimed wood, in rare cases a sap vein or pocket may be found (depending on the depth of the sap pocket it takes thousands of years to harden - builders working with reclaimed wood can cut into these pockets / or veins releasing sap). It is a myth that there is never sap in reclaimed wood. If sap is found use a soft cloth with a dab of hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol to remove any residue. A paste filler can then be used to fill and seal the spot and it will harden and protect the wood identical to the main topcoat (Contact us if the ‘paste filler’ is required).

RE-FINISHING WOODEN FURNITURE PIECES
Our finish process is eco-friendly, safe for the home and durable. We understand that stain colors may want to be changed from time to time and since we work with solid wood that is thick and sturdy - this is an doable project. First, always follow general safety guidelines for re-finishing practices and work in a well ventilated area. We do finish the wood with a clear topcoat which seals and protects the wood - this would have be sanded off before applying any stain color. Once that is removed, depending on your original stain option, additional sanding will be needed to remove the finish color and apply the new stain color and/or topcoat.

You are always welcome to added a store bought wood wax over your item to darken or deepen the color. Our in-house moisture protectant topcoat works well with waxes to add sheen, color or to rejuvenate.

CLEANING GUIDELINES
For a daily cleaning of wood furniture, simply use a damp soft cloth followed by a dry cloth.  When a cleaner is needed, use a very mild soap and wipe dry and in the direction of the grain.   A high quality furniture polish may be used occasionally.
