Fresh pink peonies are a great choice for weddings, birthdays, celebrations and everyday enjoyment. Our peonies are hand harvested, chilled, and professionally packed for delivery right to your door during July and August.

Alaska Peony Cooperative farms are located in the Matanuska and Susitna River valleys of south-central Alaska. We receive over 20 hours of daylight at the peak of summer, which results in some of the biggest and most vibrantly colored peonies grown anywhere in the world.

Your peonies will be harvested in bud form, which allows them to be shipped safely and ready for you to open to the desired stage for your event. Instructions and bud opening tips are included with your order. Shipping is via FedEx overnight delivery to the contiguous US, Alaska or Hawaii and is included in the price of the peonies.

Alaska Peony Cooperative is 100% farmer owned and operated, and all proceeds from your purchase go to the dedicated family-owned farms who grow your beautiful flowers.

How Does It Work?

First, reserve your summer peonies by pre-ordering a box of fresh Alaska grown peonies. Second, choose the date that you would like your fresh box of peonies to be shipped during July or August. Third, plan to be available to receive your box of fresh peonies as soon as it arrives via FedEx.

We pack and ship your peonies via FedEx overnight delivery, and shipments are made Monday through Thursday only. We do not ship out of Alaska on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It is recommended that you schedule your peony delivery for four days prior to your event.

As is standard practice in the industry, your peonies will be harvested and shipped in bud form. Upon receipt, you will quickly open your box and follow the included instructions to begin hydrating your flowers and opening the peony buds. They will quickly transform in to the big, fragrant flowers you know and love.

How Many Peonies Will I Receive? What Color Will My Peonies Be?

You can order your fresh peonies in 20, 30, 50 or 100 stem increments. The peonies in this listing are traditional pink and the variety is ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ or similar. Your peonies will be hand selected by the farmer and represent the freshest and highest quality stems available at the time of your order.

How Big Will My Peonies Be? How Long Are The Stems?

Your box of fresh peonies will include buds that are size AA (1 9/16 inch) and size A (1 3/8 inch). Stems are 18 inches or longer.

Does APC Guarantee The Quality Of The Flowers I Will Receive?

APC stands behind the quality of the peonies grown by our farms. In the event that a shipment is lost or damaged in transit we will work quickly with you and FedEx to find a solution. If there is a question as to the quality of the stems you receive, please contact us immediately and be prepared to email us photographs and details of the problem. We will work with you towards a remedy or replacement.

The bottom line is that we want you to have the best peony blooms available for your event and we know that time is of the essence. As our client, please understand that we will need specific details in order to correct any problem; specifically, we MUST have photographs and MUST be notified of the problem within 24-hours of the time that you receive your peonies. This will help us work towards a solution and also help us to understand what went wrong and how to prevent it from happening again.

How Much Is Shipping?

Great news! Shipping and packaging costs are included in the price of your fresh Alaska grown peonies. At this time we ship only to the contiguous United States, Hawaii and Alaska. Shipments are made during July and August, Monday through Thursday only. It is recommended that you schedule your peony delivery for four days prior to your event. Please provide a phone number for FedEx delivery notifications when you place your order.
If you are working with a professional florist we are happy to ship to their place of business, please provide their information when you make your purchase.

How do I reserve a box of fresh Alaska grown peonies?

All orders for fresh peonies are paid for at the time the order is placed. In the event that you need to cancel your order, cancellations that are made by May 31, 2019 will be refunded. Any cancellations after May 31, 2019 are non-refundable. If you place an order after May 31, 2019, please contact us regarding refund/cancellation policies.

We strive to only presell orders that can be fulfilled, which means that only a portion of our anticipated crop is made available for presales. In the event of a smaller-than-anticipated harvest or other unforeseeable natural disaster that affects the number of peonies harvested during the 2019 season we will fill orders based on stem availability and the order in which they were placed. In the unlikely situation that we are unable to fulfill your order, we will work with other Alaska peony growers from outside of our cooperative to fulfill your order, or provide a full refund, whichever you prefer.
