Description

We’ve dubbed this elegant, unnamed Colclough pattern “Gold Fern” - for obvious reasons. Colclough produced several versions with different colored backgrounds. We’ve seen this yellow on white with pink, green, and blue backgrounds. The pink is numbered 1616 – we don’t know if that number applies to this pattern in other colors.

Tea Cup collectors everywhere owe Colclough a big thank you. In 1930 Colclough was the first English potter to sell bone china cups and saucers in individual – affordable - pairs rather than as components of large dinner sets.

Colclough became part of the Royal Doulton Group in the early 1970s. The brandname was discontinued in 1996.
